installed new drive starts to boot than goes to error screen error 13. how do i get the proper dash do i just replace it of my old backup hard drive.

hi,
E13 - kernel - Dashboard launch fail (due to missing/bad key, or anything else that would prevent it from running) and the dashboard didn't specify why it failed.
You may have the wrong dashboard installed on your xbox.. In otherwords you probably have a v1.4-v1.6 xbox and have used slayers to install the M$ Dashboard.
Why not download the HQ Auto Installer Deluxe which once burned to dvd-r/cdrw can boot on your xbox and format/install all the apps, dashboards and emus for you.
Thats the easiest way..
Other then that you could use your original hdd files and ftp them over to your new xbox hdd using your pc.
need help again i went to lock drive in config magic and now my hard drive is all screwed up doen't boot up and can't get my boot disc working now did i kill the hard drive

Just try and unlock again and see how you go.
if worse comes to worse you can just re-format your xbox hdd using the XBOX HQ Auto Installer v1.01..
