Hi,

I'm about to mod a 1.6/1.6b box and i was wondering which chip is best ???

I usually use Xecuter chips but i heard there are some issues with xecuters on 1.6 box's

Can anybody advise

P.S The said xbox is only going to be used for playing *cough* backups and dvd's

my opinion is:

X3 CE = the best chip (soldering and lpc rebuild required)

Spiderchip = the easiest (completely solderless for v1.0-1.6b but has some manufacturer flaws)

X3 ce really good chip and worth the install.

x3 or x3ce are worth the money but i personally would get a x3 if i know i dont need to work on a 1.6...

do not get a spiderchip, thats all I can advise, ive had nothing but problems and their customer service is non existent........never buy from them
