I was reading that in order to do a soft mod you have to solder two points. I suck at soldering and it's my father-in-laws xbox... don't want to screw it up. I have a modded Xbox, and have downloaded the 007AUF and ltools files on my mem card. Before I drive all the way over there I wanted to be sure, do I, or don't I, have to solder _________________ XBOX v1.3:

u only have to solder the motherboard to flash the tsop ,
that is not a softmod ,
a softmod is modding the xbox without flashing the tsop and booting bios from the harddrive ,
if you mess up ....;either way you going to have to buy a chip .,
so just save yourself time and headache and buy a chip ,

The Xecuter 3 with the Xadpt3r solderless adapter works pretty slick to, just make sure that the xbox isn't a version 1.6 or above, other than that, you'd be set! _________________ XBOX v1.6c
