Now maybe this is a problem only I have had but Mechassault 2: Lone Wolf would not run on my xbox unless I turned my it off with the disk in, then turned it back on. The disk does not have any scratches on it and I have not had this problem wiht any other games. Also it would back up the game on my xbox HD but it was not playable. It appeared in the games menu and it seemed to all copy correctly but when I tried to run it, it just got rid of the words on my dashboard (but still showed the background) and would not go any further. Does anyone know if this copy protection or just an individual problem I am having.

As far as I know,,this game doesnt' have any new protection...
What evox dashboard are you running? What modchip do you have?
Some modchips come with the pre-patch string for the MS protection..
But I doubt it would be that...maybe you just had a missing file...In any case it wouldn't hurt to check for the 2nd string protection!!!

Mine backed up fine too. I backed it up using older version of DVD2Xbox even.
Xenium Ice with X2 4983.06 bios.
DVD2Xbox 0.59
Maybe you have a bios issue? I didn't check out your sig to see what you were using. Kick ass game though!! I love all the new vehicles, the grapple claw or whatever it's called. Kick ass game.

I have xbox v. 1.1 with a WD 120GB HD, XBIT modchip and evox v 3921
I found the game ok. Great while it lasted but it kinda sucked when i found out it was over after 4.5 hours of playing on my first time.
Also i dont think it was a missing file because i copied it twice and plus it wouldnt run from the dash anyways, like i mentioned before. But what is this about MS copy protection string?? i dotn understand, if u can would u elaborate a bit?

What bios are you running though??
