There are three manuals for spider chip install. There is manual for the install in version 1.6 machine. There is the 1.0 spider chip manual, and the 1.1 spider chip manual.
I am not sure what version xbox you have, or what version spiderchip you have but if you check these manuals I am sure they will give you the info you need.

I just checked the manuals, I don't see any pin header info, but I checked elsewhere and found that you can.

ok Modgod, I have a 1.0 xbox with spiderchip 1.1 version, I made some logicals conclusions and yes, I can install the spiderchip with pinheader. and is working nice right now. all you need is to install the pinheader on the same position of the other chips. and then use the 2x6 connector of the spiderchip to install it. that all.
this spiderchip guys dont say nothing on the website about to use the 2x6 connector.
ahhh another thing the D0 point is the "E" cable for 1.0 to 1.5 not the "D" that they say in the manual. I f#&@ up the chip for a while cutting the "E" cable. I had to solder again. hehehehehe
