Hey all, a member here sent me his machine asking me to replace his network adapter.
I guess the story is, someone was walking behind the machine and kicked a wire and the next thing you know it won't work. Basically, I tested it prior to replacing and sure enough it will not recognize a cable. No light emits from the adapter when it is plugged in and you get the errors when attempting to go live.
I replaced it with a known and personally tested part. However, it is giving the same results. Prior to installing I did check for any cracks in the mobo, bad traces or anything else visible that would lead me to believe that it's not the network adapter.
If anyone else has ever had this same unfortunate issue lend some experiences this way so I can check a few other things before sending this puppy back.
