Does anyone know if it is possible to use string variables in the UX config.xml file?
Heres what I want to do...
I have some passwords in the config file, all the same.
I want the password to be defined by a string variable, and the string variable to be defined int the beginning of the document.
This would allow the end-user (or me) to easily change the passwords without having to hunt through the whole document. Especially painful if using the virtual keyboard.
anyone know if this is kosher? am I missing anything? like the"<>"s
Also. can you put an expression along with a numerical variable in a skin's config file like you can with programming?
for instance taking the variable used in the place where free space of F: is displayed. Would it be ok to make the variable /1000 so that it shows only GB instead of a stupid long string of numbers? This would help clean up screen clutter and make it look better.
is this kosher?
<Text Left="35" Top="140" Align="Left" Color="0xFFFFFFFF" Source="F_FreeMB/1000"></Text>
of cource I would need to change the "MB" tag to "GB" later on in the file, right now Im just concerned with the number.
Thanks again! _________________ -Scourge "Rx = +/_\"
