I folowed the instructions to make back up copy of a came .Everything
whent fine with the ftp.I made an ISO immage and then I burned it on DVD-R and DVD RW discs to be sure that the media is right. Evox recognise the -R as unknown and the DVD rw as no disc. Is somebody
can tell me what I am doing rong or any idea where I can read for that.
Please i am a newbie

I have had 100% luck with burning backups to DVD+ R/W. I use Maxwell and it appears to work well with my V1.0. You might try another brand of media and see if that will do it for you. Are you using Nero for the burn? It might help also to know what version of Xbox and bios you are using. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

im pretty new too, so i doubt ill be much help to you...
all i do is use nero6 to burn the iso,
and i use dvd+r's and have had no problem.
ive seen a lot of people having trouble with burning games to dvd-r, although some have had no problem (it could be the difference in dvd drives in the xbox- not sure tho)
besides that, not all burning progs do what you need it to, but nero seems to do it all for me, so if you werent using it, try that.

I am using nero too. Can You tell me a good tutorial for making a backup copy. Maybe i make some mistake making the image.

Please don't forget we have plenty of tuts here on this site. Plus, if you go through some of the older posts you will find your answer. Xbox-Scene does't promote us, so I typically don't promote them.
You can also do a google search of a site, which is very comprehensive.
You will get tons of results to look through. Anytime you want to use google to search an individual site, just use the site: method. Sometimes googles search engine is much better than a sites own search engine. I know when I search for tutorials here on our engine I have a hard time getting the results that I want. that is why I use the google site: method.
let us know if you have any other questions about creating the .ISO and burning. I know I have posted some tuts on it and even some posts with killer pictures and screens.
