OK so heres the thing ... I've got some new blue leds in my box, and now the green power light dosent match ..... so I need to change it. Only problem is, I dont know how to, and cant find any thing tellime me how to. So if anyone can lemmie know know to that would be great. I assume it should be as easy as snip off the old leds, and replace them, but good chance I am wrong, so yeah. Thanks for the help in advance.

Actually, it's a little more to it than that. Let me see if I can help. First you need to remove the top part of the case, pull out the HD and HD tay. Diso the power/eject board from the mobo.
Once you have that done, you have to pry off the front of the xbox.
Once you have one side loose, you can just pull the center clip up and the other side will easily slide off.
Next you need to just pop the board out. There are three clips holding board it. Pop the bottom one and then slide board downward.
You now have to desolder the old LEDS off of the board. The stock LED's have three legs. Two power legs and one ground leg. Each LED can illuminate two separate colors, either red or green. You can then indert only two LED's in so you have one solid color, or you can insert two LED's but this is a little tricky. You will notice that there are three holes for the two power legs and the one ground, but your replacement LED's will end up equaling four legs so you can have two colors on each side. This will mean you will have to snip one of the grounds off of either color and solder the short end to the top of the end that is fed through the hole.
Also, you need to make sure that you do not leave any solder on the stock LED's. If you pull the stock LEDS out and there is still solder on them, you will also pull out the contact that you need to solder the new LEDS to and your board will be ruined. I have done that before Here is what the board looks like. Notice that the left and right order is different. But, on both sides the middle hole is always the ground hole.

Here is a picture of the back of the board where you will desolder. Once you delsolder, insert your LED through and make sure your correct color positive/power LED leg is in the correct hole. For instance, if Blue is your primary color (when xbox is running) then you want the positive/power leg to be in thetop hole on the left side, and the bottom hole on the right side.
Push both postive and ground legs through the holes and then bend the LED. Lay flast down on your working surface and solder to the contacts. Then just snip the excess LED leg off. Do this on both sides.

Well, that may have been a little more convoluted answer than you were looking for, but hopefully it will give you a solid base to work on. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.
