M$ quality for Gold and the games offered has really gone downhill.
For example at the XBOX Store just 1 GTA4 expansion is 19.99 but you need the main game so really its 40 or 60 if you want both expansions. On the flip side I just ordered a brand new copy of EFLC stand alone for 5.99 with free shipping from a game shop next province over from me. Evil Within is 70 friekin dollars for download, I bought the disc brand new for 10 bucks.
You cant get any UFC games digitally anymore (or much of any games unless you like COD) Or any MMA games for that matter. But you can buy lots of new shirts for your avatar for 2.99 a pop. Instead of prices going down they are going up when there is no scarcity to drive the digital prices. Disc based it makes sense because they arent getting made so supply constantly goes down. Whats the excuse on digital?
The free games offered each month are trash. Nothing but Lego games and games the calibur of Top Spin. IE so crappy if you tried to sell one to me Id probably punch you for trying to rip me off In the past year the only decent games Ive seen offered are Battlefield 3 (which I already owned) and Dead Space 2 (which was a let down compared to the first) And the "deals" that are always hand in hand with the free games is nothing but Farming Simulator over and over and over. Lets check deals with Gold. Why what a surprise its 6 copies of Farming Simulator AGAIN.
And if that wasnt enough M$ has essentially dropped support for Live. Its constantly going down. Constantly disconnects when going back to the home screen. Constantly boots you mid game due to "connection issues". But of course M$ doesnt care, in fact last month when it was down for 3 days straight you couldnt even get an honest answer from M$. One worker told me it was on my end despite the fact there were dozens complaining they were also booted. Month before that I had mentioned to Hobbs how Live was going down every other day. But of course M$ offers nothing to make it right, just keeps on taking your money.
