Hi all,
Now that I've got my hard drive upgrade with autobuilder 5.1 I noticed a few things:
1.) The XBMC app on the E drive only has two skins. Obviously adding all of them would require another 1.2GB on the linux.iso file which is too much for a DVD. Should I overwrite and replace XBMC as an E drive app using XBMC installer 3.2.2 or just FTP all the skins in by obtained a compiled build from UG gamer? Are any other XBMC features missing from the autobuilder version?
2.) I haven't checked all the emulators, but Final Burn Legends just came with the emulator and no games. The same can be said of the PS1 emulator. Obviously the games consume too much memory to put them all in the linux.iso file, I'm guessing.
Can I just go to Xbox-HQ and FTP games for the emulator into the final burn legends app on my E drive?
If so I can simply repeat this for other emulators missing some of their games.
Thanks

^^ if you've got the XBMC 3.3.2 package to hand, FTP/replace the existing one entirely! i think 3.2.2 is newer than the autobuilder embedded version but don't quote me on that!
FBA?
take a look at SPPV's shit right HERE, it has FBA-legends and it's respective rom-set!
but this isn't a complete set (nor should it be) just a basic package to get you off!
if you want the FULL FBA set, (xbox FBA PRO version/NO BINARY) HERE it is and it works with SPPV's emu installer/FBA! (failing that, you could find the emu for the romset?)
both items are from underground twatfest so make sure you have the ratios to back the rips....(10g tops for all items linked to this page)
that's it...my bit done! good luck! _________________ to all my friends... farewell and all the best to future prosperity... and remember, be excellent to each other!

Theres nothing "missing" from the XBMC. Thats exactly what you would get if you were to download 3.2 from the xbmc4xbox page. The stuff in XBMC Installer I added cause I could. Both are identical base releases. If you want all the extra skins etc, pop in XBMC Installer and go to E drive app install and click on XBMC. Be sure to move your emus from E to F before doing that or it will error from lack of room.
As for ROMs all that is explained in the AutoBuilder release notes and release thread. Reading can do wonders lol. PS1 and FBL got no ROMs due to size. The other emus got the Xtras USA ROM set.
For FBL ROMs your looking at a massive amount, just the PGM collection I have is about 10GB. And for the most part we dont distribute ROMs via Xbox-HQ, you will need to go to UG or another source.

My apologies for making you re-answer a question about autobuilder. I didn't understand what was contained in the Xtras USA rom set at the time and was completely preoccupied with the console modding itself :/
Your post on auto builder 5.1 says it contains all emulators from emu installer v3.
When I went to the post on emu installer v3, I didn't see explicitly 'Final Burn Legends' or 'FBL' in the 'what this disk contains list'. Which version of FBL was on auto builder's 5.1's disk then?
I think I have a good candidate for a rom set. UG has FBL 1.12 + 2700 games and was posted in October 2012.
However other google searches showed posts on XS announcing the release of FBL 1.4 in 2011! I'm unsure if these UG ROMs are compatible with the FBL emu I just installed with autobuilder.
Can I grab this set for FBL without fear of compatibility issues? True/False
Much thanks

direct quote from the release notes for AutoBuilder
Whats different compared to V4?
1)ShadowC mod
2)Choice on installing emus and apps
3)New emus including FBL1.12, PCSXBOX21(REDUX),Snes9XBOX and MekaX V3
4)Emus include Xtras compliant ROM sets
5)Choice between DVD size image and CD size image from the exe
6)Rewritten make-iso-win
7)Scarface TWIY skin added as default UX skin
8)XBMC Installer 3.2.2 compliant
9)Latest rewrites to the SID softmod and Shadow
So I dont see where you get the version of FBL is not explicitly stated. Notice those lines in BOLD They specificly say its FBL1.12. If people cant take the time to read the read me included with the download, or read the release threads why should I take the time to say it again? Or get asked the same question 19 times, and just keep getting asked, with the answer thrown to the wayside like a disease riddled hooker? Thats not how you get people to want to help you. Nor is tagging a release as incomplete when theres obviously no knowledge of what the developers included in the official release

SPPV,
I apologize for having to make you restate this stuff. You know how much I love to read the documentation ahead of time. It's very helpful.
The reason I didn't see FBL 1.12 is because I was looking emu installer v3.1's page and autobuilder v5.1's page, which assume that I saw the pages for v3.0 and v5.0, respectively.
When I tried those pages, I saw FBL plain as day on there. Either google or Xbox-HQ are good about not letting people accidentally see the older versions, which may have a few bugs, so that's a good thing. But they assumed I saw the older version, hence explaining my confusion before.
Well know that I know I have FBL 1.12, then I'm definitely hopping on that complete FBL 1.12 gameset on UG!
Much thanks
P.S.I was not tagging your release as incomplete, I was simply verifying that it be impossible to fit every single rom for all emulators onto just one DVD and you confirmed it when you said FBL has more than 10GB worth of roms
Without you, I never would have been able to do the hard drive upgrade and softmod the proper way. You da man!

The top quote came from the READ ME.txt included with 5.1, and heres Emu Installer V3 http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/postt26599.html 3.1 has 0 to do with bugs, its a completely seprate release hence the fact it has totaly different emus than v3 has. All release notes included with my work should be read before even contemplating use.
And when you already have a thread like How do i use AutoBuilder theres no need to start another asking if this PC will work with it. And in all honesty there really shouldnt be any questions. Everything is covered in the release notes (and linked videos) and if people would actualy follow said instructions there would be no issues. But sadly people dont like to read or follow instructions. Instead theyd rather have people hold their hand, wipe their ass and change their diaper. Not much pisses me off more than people not reading and following, then asking things directly covered. A perfect example is a tool at another site ignoring the burn speed and deciding to burn the CD @16x cause thats the speed they do PS1 ISO at. And I specificaly cover boot failure in the read me and release thread. But of course thats ignored too, and then it proceeds to the person getting mouthy and telling me I dont know jack on my own app and me blacklisting the person from any future support and banning em from 4 different sites.

Some people have no idea what they're doing when they start out. It's how it is. Take me for example. I didn't even know until last summer that an xbox 1 could even BE modded. But hey, you learn a little every day
I've annoyed with you neophyte questions for the past two months, BUUT now that I have a fully modded console, I'll try to help out who I can on here if they ask something that I've PERSONALLY done myself and try to reduce a little of the burden for you
But I'm going to be like amiga1200, if they ask something I don't know anything about, I ain't gonna touch it.
P.S. the suicide emoticon was hilarious

Im putting my PGM colletion up here. Will be up in a few days, theres other boards that FBL can run but I think PGM had the best games. Will be in leter oranized sets (A,B etc) since 10GB is way to big for a single file set here

Umm I know you like acronyms so you can type less, but what is PGM?
Is it the PolyGame Master? An arcade console system released in Taiwan in 1997?

Was it the pgm set or all games? You can tell by size full fbl set would be around 40gb or so. And I saw your post in our 240p thread at xtras with some emus you need to set specific configurations for certain games to run proper especially the ps1 emu. And there are some games that just don't run like the original. For the most part NES snes sms genesis tg16 run very well. For complete sets look for the revive retro project packs but be aware they are not xtras compliant so if you want the fancy box art etc you would have to rename the roms with the rrp packs
Since this only 17.2GB, are you suggesting there are more games to acquire?

There must be some kind of tutorial, thread or guide on Xbox-HQ that specifies that exact settings I should use for the games in order to get them to play in hi-def right?
P.S. I noticed you put up a UG link in a post, just to make sure, you're ok with me putting up such links when corresponding with you and other on HQ correct?

No we dont have specific config posts. We are doing custom configs for the new PS1 emu so it runs proper outa the bag but its very slow going. We got 10's of thousands of gaes to run through for the various systems so for the most part its on the user to mess around and find best settings. As to 720 not all emus support it, many dont go above 480P
And no thats not a complete FBL set, just off the top of my head its missing Cave and CPS ROMS/BIOS
