I asked about this some time ago on another xbox site and was told to post here. However, that was a couple of months ago. I found a old flash drive that worked soon after that, so I ended up not posting.

Unfortunately that flash drive is busy dying, so I am soon going to without a compatible xbox usb.

There is only one guy I know of that can do this Very Happy

I hope I have included the correct Hardware ID's. I know the person who can do this was looking for the ID's of usb's some time ago (on this other site) but it looks like it was deleted there.

4gb - integral

USBSTOR\Disk________Removable_Disk__PMAP
USBSTOR\Disk________Removable_Disk__
USBSTOR\Disk________
USBSTOR\________Removable_Disk__P
________Removable_Disk__P
USBSTOR\GenDisk
GenDisk

2gb - Transcend, this will work 1 in every 50 tries (weird)

USBSTOR\DiskJetFlashTranscend_2GB___8.07
USBSTOR\DiskJetFlashTranscend_2GB___
USBSTOR\DiskJetFlash
USBSTOR\JetFlashTranscend_2GB___8
JetFlashTranscend_2GB___8
USBSTOR\GenDisk
GenDisk

2gb - traxdata, this one always mounts, but unfortunently is now very old and is losing and currupting data

USBSTOR\DiskUSB_2.0_Flash_Disk______5.00
USBSTOR\DiskUSB_2.0_Flash_Disk______
USBSTOR\DiskUSB_2.0_
USBSTOR\USB_2.0_Flash_Disk______5
USB_2.0_Flash_Disk______5
USBSTOR\GenDisk
GenDisk

Thank you in advance

This is what a device ID should look like

USB\VID_05E3&PID_0710&REV_9144

Hey SPPV, thanks for the reply

mmm... as far as I remember the path in windows was:

- Properties (of the device)
- you then select the usb under "hardware"
- you then go to "details"
- then "property"
- then "Hardware Ids"

Wait, I found my mistake, I should have been looking in "Parent" not "Hardware Ids" Embarassed

Ok, so they are:

4gb integral:

USB\VID_13FE&PID_1D21\07770A5E0378

2gb Transcend

USB\VID_058F&PID_6387\AJS24IUE

2gb Traxdata:

USB\VID_0204&PID_1976\1058004250BE0000

How are you formatting your 4GB USBs? That can play a huge part in XBMC refusing it. When formatting these are the settings you want. Ignore the size one of my 8GB sandisk Cruzers was close at hand.

It is formatted like that, I have seen you post something similar before. The only difference is that it isn't called "PENDRIVE" , but surely that won't make a difference?
