how can i get files from my xbox to my computer....
ive herd.. that ftp will work>? ... i cant seem to get it set up right.?
could anyone help me..
i have an ftp explorer... and have no hosts to even put stuff onto ...um..
also .. am i able to just use a usb cord from xbox controller port.. to computer... and transfer that way?...... please help me..!!!

If you have a router, it's super easy! All I did was connect a Cat5 cable from my #2 port of the router straight to my xbox.
On my PC I went to Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools and clicked on Command Prompt.
That opens a dos window. I typed command prompt and got an IP address of: 192.168.1.100 so all I did was go into my evox settings on my xbox and change the IP to Static, and assigned the ip address: 192.168.1.200
Notice the last three digits...it went from 100 to 200. If I connect a second xbox to the router into the #3 port, I'd assign that one 192.168.1.300....
After you assign the IP Address scroll down to Save&Exit. Some people make the mistake of pressing B on the controller and backing out of the window, but then it doesn't save the new IP.
You have to restart the xbox to allow the new settings to take effect.
Next, download and install FlashFXP on your PC. Click on, Site, then add new site. Name it whatever you want, like xbox...then where it says IP Address, just fill in the xbox IP. Port 21. username xbox, password xbox...
You will then be faced with your connection. The window on your left is your PC files.. The window on your right is the Xbox files. Simply highlight and press transfer, or drag and drop between the windows. It's super easy.
