Hello everyone,
Just came back from the midwest gaming classic here in Wisconsin this weekend,great time. I picked up a 5th gen 60 gb ipod for a sweet deal. And like everything else I have, it must now be hacked. Can anyone suggest a good website to learn from or even some good hacks for it. As of right now, I have NO idea of the capability of this little dandy.

Pity they dont have more Archos firmware. I got a 16GB one, wickedest MP4 Ive ever owned. I can put DVDs (I havent seen a video format yet you cant just copy and paste into the video folder) on it and it will play and scale them down to screen size on the fly. But sadly the touchscreen has gone loco on me and Archos has no new firmware for it, and they want me to pay over 60 bucks to ship it to France where they may say nope were not gonna cover this under warranty.
Might be worthwhile to see if we can get some sort of affiliation with Rockbox Hobbs, and have a link to em at the top with the others. They got a smokin heavy metal site as well (at least I think theyre connected, same name but a UK domain)

Youre the man zzzag, I figured what the hell my players already hookered I'll just try the Rockbox Archos firmware and see what happens. I forgot how good it sounds, makes my Philips sound like a cat getting kicked. The touchscreen is still a bit non responsive but I can at least now get it to play music and turn up the volume
