Post subject: Problems with evolution X on original Xbox

i recently aquired an original xbox from a friend. He had it modded with a Xenium Gold 24k mod chip and Evolution X on it. a couple weeks ago, I was going to copy a game on to it, and for some reason the xbox reset itself and all the Launch menu items in the Mod chip menu were gone. whenever I try to add evoxdash.xbe or any other items to it, it just says "File Wont Fit." Is this the file I am supposed to be added?
Also, I can add the bios.bin file in the "backup" folder, but that just launches the Evox Dashboard with network settings and backup. Why can I not get the game menu and stuff to launch?

The EvolutionX stuff should go on the C: partition
Can you list the contents of your C: here ?

I wouldnt worry about the bios.bin file atm

C:
Audio\
items.txt
Xbox Book.xtf
Xbox.xtf
msxboxdash.xbe
fonts\
evoxdash.xbe (which is corrupt, explained at end)
backup\
bios\
Skin\
evox.ini
xboxdash.old
xboxdashdata.185ead00\
Trainers\
xodash\
xboxdash.xbe (which I accidentally changed to the same thing as -evoxdash.xbe with a different name)
original-readme.txt
readme.txt

So, I am pretty sure I corrupted evoxdash.xbe becauseI found this tutorial to make a shortcut so it would fit, so I tried that and ended up replacing evoxdash.xbe with this shortcut (which I stupidly named the same thing) so now it doesnt work, and I somehow managed to replaced xboxdash.xbe's coding with the same thing as that of the original evoxdash.xbe...so i screwed this thing up pretty good I think...

What happens if you use the file manager or somehow navigate to the evoxdash.xbe on the C: partition and double click on it ?

If you get the same screen with the network settings and backup i think the Evox.ini may be corrupt.

This is AID: http://www.aidtracker.com/ and you can also find XBMCD which has a pile of Apps and tools for XBMC.

Download it and unzip it and it will be an ISO, burn it to a dvd -r and any modded xbox should read it.

XBMC is Xbox Media Center, this dash is capable of all the tasks you listed when you add the right XBMC App to it.

Sounds like your bios is looking for the dash in the wrong location, what bios are you running?
