Very Happy Hello HQ

I have brought a s/h xbox off ebay listed as being in excellent condition LOL. Laughing
Turns out box is been around the yard a few times has a 320GB HDD and modded with slayer 2.7. The reason I brought this box was to play around with XBMC installer deluxe and maybe even the later AID that I have never used.
Question is can I remove slayer and if so how?
Is it possible to boot the AID disk or XBMC deluxe and format the drive and install AID. The only problem I see here is that I don't have a backup of the original dash to fall back on?
But I guess I can always reinstall that from the AID disc!

Think I found what I was looking for:

Update: Removed the lid and found an Aladdin Advanced chip, removed the board to reveal an impressive piece of soldiering. Used one click install for modchip. Toooooo easy.

Thanks

Hi mate,

Sorry i missed your post.. Yup your on the right track..
Basically if you have a modchip in your xbox you can just use AID or XBMC installer deluxe to format and reinstall using the one click install.

If you only were running a softmod you would need to muck around alot more.

One thing i would seriouly suggest is to backup your eeprom and any other important info just for the future.

anyway, glad you got it working mate. It's all too easy with AIDeluxe. Smile

enjoy the sites,
