Hi im thinkin of buying this xbox its a Duox2 GS, 1.4 crystal edition 500gb HDD with xmbc dashboard, i was wondering if i convert my blue ray movies to mkv will this play in HD? any help is much appreciated thank you

It would play but it would be very choppy because the xbox doesn't have the processing power to decode it smoothly. _________________

Yep exactly,
I have a few simpsons and south parth episodes which are 720p and are in .MKV format.. The xbox will play them but only just.. Like darth says most things will be choppy. _________________
Wow thanks for the prompt replys guys! exactly what i needed to know. Im going to use xbox as a media centre mainly and was just wondering what sort of stuff from my movie collection i can throw on it..lol thanks again for the help guys have a nice day
