Hey guys I am having some trouble and could use some help troubleshooting.

I have (2) xboxes chipped and I am trying to transfer save game files from old to new. I am using Xbox-Saves Manager and for some reason the files transfer, but yet when I play there do not show up. Within the program (on PC) I can see it create the game folder, but the actual save file will not show up.

Hopefully someone is familiar with this program and even better the issue.

Can anyone help?

Since you already have a chipped xbox you could do the following.

1. Grab a memory card
2. Insert it into your modded xbox
3. Use a ftp program like FLASHFXP or CUTEFTP to ftp into your xbox and you can copy directly onto your memory card which should show up as a extra drive editor.
4. Once you have done that just use the memory card in the NON-MODDED BOX with a EXPLOIT game.

if that helps be sure to pay it back and help reply to some topics on the HQ's or even donate to become a VIP member to help pay for our hosting and on going support costs.

What I am trying to do is copy my save game files from one modded xbox to anther modded xbox. For some reason I cannot transfer the save games. I don't understand why it would not work.

PS - Odd that I didn't get a notification from the reply.

PSS - More odd that my avatar has changed to some lame sailor boy!

Hey wes, can you fill me in in this 'resigning' thing you mentioned?

How do I resign? Do you believe this is my issue? Please enlighten me, thanks.

Hi JSP62,

Sorry about the avatar. Our server automatically chooses a random avatar if you don't choose one and are active in the forums etc..
Weird you didn't get a email about the reply too!

Anyway, back to your thread:

So you have backed up the E: Drive (gamesaves) onto your PC via FTP?

If you haven't that's what i would do and then ftp the files back onto the other modded xbox. E:\ Drive is your cache and gamesaves directory!

Hope that helps, sorry for not reading your original topic correctly, probably was tired..

cheers,

hobbs

I'll try out this prog when I get home tonight. I suspect the issue I am having has something to do with 'unique code' of the save game files which will not work when transferred to another BOX. Reading the description of this program seems to suggest so.

The original program I was using (XBSM), did not work when transferring from XBOX 'A' to XBOX 'B'. This prog probably doesn't address the 'unique code' aspect.

Will follow-up with results.

Thanks

Ah, i never thought about the unique code, im positive there will be tools available to convert them eitherway since they are already doing it on 360 for god dam game cheaters.. Sad

Last resort like i mentioned you can hopefully FTP and backup and you should be fine, but i would try the program wes213 has mentioned first.. Ive been too busy modding 360's and giving support via 360-hq and havent' had as much time as i would like to get back on XBOX-HQ but im trying guys.

l8r all and enjoy one of the best and friendliest networks on the net.

I didn't have a chance to really do the work, but from a quick run through I see that I have to individually do each save game file . . . =/ which will be time consuming. I'll have to find some time. Looks as though, this will solve my issue though.

So I did get the notifications, I just forgot it was on my secondary email account. Also with the avatar . . . how the heck do I change it? I must of gone through all the settings and cannot locate where to change it. Can you help me? This isn't a VIP perk only is it?

Well not all game saves should need to be patched, out of say 10 saves only 1 or 2 should need it.

As for your avatar bottom of the page here: http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/modules.php?name=Forums&file=profile&mode=editprofile
