I was fiddling around with some of the programs, seeing what they were (until I noticed the AID 4.4 manual section telling you) and I couldn't do anything in Chimp, I actually had to turn the Xbox off.
How safe is using the HDD swap with Chimp?
How do you work XBMC's Trainers? Xedor (or whatever the name of the trainer program is) locks up immediately, so can I do it without it? If not, I will just wait and install it manually.
Ok, my problem (if you read it, if not just ignore this) was my EvoX on AID was F*d up, I tried installing it from AID manually after AID was installed, and it was corrupt.
Thanks, just another noob, but learning quickly.

Chimp is to swap out the hdd by cloning the stock hdd to a new one, its not going to do anything since it is made to stop you from reseting the xbox while it works.
For the XBMC trainers to work you need to install the trainers to your hdd and then in XBMC settings tell it ware you put them.
Then go to your game section and run the trainer update, you should now be able to run them.
Not sure about you evox since it worked fine on my cut.

I found out that my EvoX was somehow corrupted... :/
So wait, can you only run trainers on games on your HDD? That sucks...
How can you make a game you rip show up in the Games list anyway, on UnleashX (switched dash's)?
And I was more worried about IDE not being made for hot swapping, and whether Chimp needs a keyboard, as I couldn't move with my controller.

I have used chimp many times and have had no probs with the ide switch so as long as you keep the ide just in enough to run it the swap is simple.
There is no need for a keyboard and you will be able to move the options around when you got it all hooked up and ready to go.
Make sure you use a stock MS controller.

Ok, so in other words, chimp doesn't allow you to do anything until you have two HDD's plugged up? Sorry, I am just weary of doing this.

Yeah man, it needs to detect that all things are in place for the HDD copy to start.

Ahh, well, even with the "big bertha" controllers, I can only go left and right, but can't change numbers. I assumed you may need a keyboard for that.
Ok, I think I'm settled, I'm trying Chimp out tonight. I'll report back how it goes...

It'll be tomorrow, I just realized I don't have a Molex Y-splitter... XD
Oh, and does the HDD have to be formatted beforehand, or will it do it for me?? It has a OS on it already.. :/

As long as your new HDD isn't locked to something then it will format it out for you. Since it sounds like its from a PC it shouldn't be locked so your good to go. _________________
