He guys hows it going.
I need some help here. I just downgraded from Vista to Xp Pro.
Now my smb is getting weird on me. For no reason it skips maybe once during a video and then a few moments later freezes and stops playing the video, goes right back to the library.
My connection seems fine, my pc has not had any problems connecting to the internet and neither does XBMC. The weather and scripts work fine its just the file sharing. Resources have been lightened up on my PC since I did this dramatically so I cant see it being a over load on my PC either. I keep check to see what the percent of CPU usage is and its barley doing anything at all while watching videos.
Whats funny is my internet service sucked while I was using Vista since Vista took so many resources and my PC has bare minimum requirements but I never had any problems with smb! Now filesharing sucks and my internet works great!
Note that all firewalls were disabled and the problem did not change.

Have you tried clearing your cache on the xbox?

Yeah, I have a feeling irony is at hand and something is now wrong with my XBOX. I cant stream plug-ins at all either and I just sorted that out, it just hangs on the loading ring thingy in the corner.
Im gunna try the new installer and a clean install and see what I can play with. I do have a different way of running the fieshare now on Xp but I had Xp previously to Vista and I liked using smb so much more, it worked flawless till I had to go get a new PC with Vista.

I got my cache set for 0 on all video and audio.
