Im trying to set up SAMBA easy shares
using this tutorial

one of the first things it says is...

Have you looked at all the other options for sharing or tryed the XBMC.org guide to set up?

ive read everything i can get my hands on and im still no closer
there is no step by step guide and everything ive read seems to think i know more then i do

Set the files on your PC that you want to share, then select samba share on the XBMC with the white button and set the destination path.

Thats all there really is to it.

OK this is where i show just how thick i am

show me a example of what this destination path will look like

think of me as a retard and then make it even easier to understand

if you need to know IP addresses and file structures i can tell you

all my HDDs are shared
im connected to my xbox via a crossover cable and a 2nd NIC

i understand about the white button and can see the address will start
SMB\\ (or something like that)

PC name/drive you want to access/file you want to access

Thats about it.

I find workgroups much easier, try setting that up and if your running a router set the PC the router and your XBMC for UpNp.
