Ok so i finally bought a new xbox after getting tired of trying to mod the 1.6b. I installed the chip and followed the direstions exactly, made sure it was tight and the d0 point for the 1.5 was correctly inserted. But when i turn on the xbox the chip comes on and the light is blue as supposed to be, but it turns off after 2 seconds, and sometimes it will come back on for another 2 seconds.. What's up?

this is called a Frag, its when you either A don't have all the pins on the pinheader(or the solderless adapter) connected to the LPC OR B the D0 is not getting good connectivity. or you could have splattered some solder onto it..... _________________ Hotswap Tutorial

Well it's solderless, so i know it's not splattered solder. And i had just recently had the solderless adapter in another xbox but it was with a 2.6. What i think happened is that the store i purchased the chip from game me the adapter for a 2.6 and not the x3 i purchased. I noticed that the pins are different on that adapter than the 1.6 xapt3r i bought, could this be the problem?

very likely as the 1.6 has a different build than the 1.0-1.5, i suggest going back there and saying you got the wrong one and therefore you can test it and get moving as im sure it will end up being the problem. Ok thanks. I have sent them a message letting them know that the solderless adapter is for the 2.6 mod chip, and the chip i have is an X3. I guess it was just a merketing miss hap.

would it be possible to supply me with a picture of the adapter? this would make everything a lot easier for me to tell you if its the X3 solderless adapter or the x 2 solderless adapter....make sure you use the sites upload feature and don't use a hosting web site to help us out with band width if possible THANKS in advance for that. _________________ Hotswap Tutorial

I just softmodded the xbox that the x2.6 chip was in and put the x2.6 into the xbox instead of the X3. I'll use the x3 for later modifications to 1.6 xboxes untill i can purchase a 1.0 /1.5 Xapt3r. Thanks alot for all your help
