Are you sure its not just the disk drive acting up? _________________
Can you run DVD2Xbox? I'd give the disc a good cleaning and see if you can rip it to your hard drive.
I had a game Gun Metal if thats what I remember it being called and it would glitch when I played it. I tried to rip it using DVD2XBox and it kept trying and trying and trying.
I got annoyed and flipped over the disk. Sure enough after years of storage I cleaned the disk. When I didn't notice my son and his sticky fingers put a smudge on the disk. Cleaned it and it worked like a champ.
I know it doesn't really address your problem, but if you can rip a game then its not your drive and its something else. If you can't rip a game like Wes said its probably your drive. _________________ My Soft Mod Adventure - http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/postt23809.html

Have you made sure that all the crap and crud are removed from the fans and heatsinks?
