i got a 10 gig hd, and a different xbox. i wan to put the 10 gig xbox with the random xbox motherboard, what do i do? can someone please give me some strong tutorials that will help me out plz??? p.s the hard drive isn't modded or nothing like that. Thanks.... and also how do i get the xbox eeprom? b/c the hard drive isn't there with the xbox so i dnt know how to unlock it. thanks

Don't qoute me, but I don't think you can mix and match HDDs to Mobos. I know you can with dvd drives, but I'm thinking not on HDDs. From what I've seen, there is a lot of configuring involved to do what you are trying to do, even if it is possible. Also, 10GB is pretty much a stock XBOX HDD. I've got a 120GB in mine and lots of guys around here have 320Gb to 500GB. _________________

yeah i tried this one time and got an error number i forget which im thinking error 16 or something....the only thing u can do is upgrade the HDD to something bigger and better and u have to have a modded box to do that _________________

Check out the tutorials section man. Don't think you're gonna have much luck with what you have right now. As Sik said, you must have a modded XBOX in the first place. A modchip should make your process a little simpler. I just use softmods though. Don't need any chips for the stuff I do. _________________
