I currently have XBMC on my xbox. I was gonna see about taking my xbox back to an almost original state and starting all over. I want to get all the crap buildup off of it. I do have a backup of everything on my computer. Now, when I put an AID DVD in, the one I originally hacked with (4.20) and also 4.21, all it does is act like it's loading it. It will flash the AID cube on the screen and keep scanning the disk, then after a few minutes it will flash the AID cube again, and so on. I don't know what to do. As far as I know the system has no problem loading anything burned.....I will check after I post this cause I have to leave for short while. Please someone give me some help.

Thanks in Advance.

*Edit* I can still play backups and originals.

I would suggest you try making a new copy of aid. Wink

Thank you for the welcome.

I did make new copies. I also found my AID 4.10 disk. That was put up in a case, it won't load either. Could there be something with XBMC and the MC360 skin stopping it? I was thinking on puttin Splinter Cell in and loading up the installer I have through that to get Evox on the system.

My ultimate goal is get my xbox as close to original as posible. Basicallty clean it all up and have it factory clean. Then I want to re-mod it back up to XBMC. I also am looking to put a 40 gig HD in it so I can put all my SNES and NES stuff on it.

But yeah, I need this damn thing to read an AID disk. It also has a Thompson drive

If your going to add a new HDD you can use xboxHDM and that will build you a stock HDD and then you will soft mod that.

So it would be the same as a clean start so you really have no reason to clean up the old HDD.

I was working on that new HD, I got the original Xbox dash on there. I used the backup that AID made when I first hacked the Xbox. Now I am trying to figure out how to lock the drive. I already confirmed that the model of drive I am using can lock. Please tell me that I don't need to make a floppy like xboxHDM says in the menu. I don't use floppies. Oh I do have the eeprom on the HDM disk.

I would also like to note that my xbox will no longer load any AID disk. I burned 2 new 4.20 disks and a 4.21. I know the 4.20 image works since that is the image I used to put XBMC on it. I don't know what to do now.

If you have an HDM disk with your info on it you can use it to lock the HDD and a rebuilt HDD wont load aid till you softmod it.

I know a non soft modded HDD won't load AID. But my original HDD is still in the unit. Ok I know that AID won't let you do anything till an eeprom backup is made. Where is that backup at. I want to make sure I am using the right one.

Most FTP programs have a search/find facility. Just run a search for eeprom and it'll come up. That will save you some time.
