Hey guys, I was wondering if it was possible to patch games that do not natively run in modes other than 480i to run in higher definition ie 480p 720p 1080i. If it is possible is there a program about that can automate the process is is it a matter of hex editing the game to run? Any advice or a shunt in the right direction would be great. Thanks

i doubt its possible there might be a program but if it was programmed to run in 480i then running the game in a bigger resoultion might result in a small screen box or very pixelated images.

Thanks for the reply. I looked through a few places and aparently you can do it with a homemade VGA cable and a replacement Bios made by frosty the snowman. Just wish you could do it with a component cable. Sometimes 480p just aint enugh.

You can get 720 from most games with this cable.

I have a third party version of that cable and I can only find a small few games that will run in 720p amped 2 freedom fighters and the hulk being the only ones Worth playing. If there is a way to make others work that would be awesome but I cant seem to find one.

Well if you knew how to retexture the game you could. You would have to go through and make the whole game hi-res textures and models. It would be like remaking the whole game graphics wise. It wouldn't really be worth it.
