Hey Guys,
Been trying to softmod my kids xbox via sid 5.01. Everything was goin good until i i put in the Aid 4.10 dvd and was starting to set-up my own little Evo and add some appz and it booted up Aid dvd and put my various stuff on there. I took out the dvd and checked out the dash and it ONLY gave me the 5960 OG dash, I rebooted with the Aid dvd and did some checking via some appz off the disk and found out the the box was modded before. I tried everything to reinstall, ect., still no luck. Basically is there any way i can clean up the entire hard drive back to stock, i think there are remnince of the old softmod screwing up my new install of Aid 4.10. I can boot up the Aid disk fine, i'd like to get the hard drive back to stock if i can. I heard somewhere that slayer disk had some back to retail feature, but would not know, never used that fossil.

Yes. You can do this throught the AID disc or if you possibly have the SID5 menu in your Apps folder or another folder. I'm not sure how you have yours set up. Try the AID deisc if you don't see an option in your dash to boot SID 5.
After you figure out how to get into sid5, there is an option to "Remove softmod". It will ask are you sure and just hit "YES". Make 100% sure though that you have made a backup of your Eeeprom and your 5950 MS dash. 5950 is what you should be using. If I'm not mistaken, that is the newer version. You must have those two backups in order to unmodd your XBOX back to stock. Let me know how it goes. It shouldn't take anymore than a couple of minutes for the process to be completed and you will be back to stock. _________________
