Im wanting to upgrade the size of my HDD but I dont like to read the hdd database cause all three hdds I tryed say that can be locked but wont lock. So can you guys post some models on here of what you useing that lock?

I have no probs as of yet with MAXTOR or SEAGATE.

Seagate ULTRA ATA/100 300 GB 7200 8 MB Yes evox is what i run in my best xbox.

Seagate is your best bet. I am running a seagate barracuda 500gb and all the other seagate hdd's I looked at will work in the xbox too.

I stick with the seagates but the WD hdds work more then not.

maxtor personally and size wise i use a 160gb it accomadates for nearly all my xbox back ups plenty of space for tv series (in the right format) and loads of music, im planning to upgrade to at least 500gb but i dont think id need it

if you got a 500gb you might not need that much but you never know...at least you got the space if you ever do. Wink

I dont have but my top 5 flix on my xbox but its 300GB and i have 30 GB going to wast.

I wold never mod it with less then 250GB or more then 500GB, just got to keep it in mind with the real big hdds you need 32k clusters. Wink

id find a use, cos im a poor young lad i barely have enough hard drive space as it is, fortunately i may be moving into my drummers house and his bros a total geek like me, were gonna raid the two xbox hard drives i got and see how fast it goes, hes got 2 spare 120gb!!!!! were gonna raid them as well

I'm running a 160Gb Maxtor drive in mine, but like the others say here, I've found no probs with Seagate or WD either.

I'll think you'll be pretty safe with any of those 3 makes, they all seem to be compatible across a range of sizes.
