Hello to all, so I was finally able to fix my xbox w/ the help of Wes especially. I originally was trying to clone my hdd due to the fact that I thought my seagate 120 gig was going to die anywho upon disassembling my hdd and purchasing a new larger one I realized that the hdd was not the problem, it was the dreaded heat sink attached to the processor. That's what was making an obnoxious noise. The sound literally sounded like my xbox was about to go kaboom! no good. So I replaced the heatsink w/ a larger one as well as a larger heatsink fan. SO now I have now probably one of the coolest ( I mean in degrees of course) xbox right now. It's also so quiet you could hear your buddy sitting next to you sweat while your playing halo!
I am not trying to bragg I just want to be of help to anyone out there. Wes and some other guys helped me out a ton, now I want to share the wealth. If anyone has a question regarding cooling, some modding questions or anything please feel free to ask. I will responed asap.
To all who helped me you guys are great thank you so much, I still do have some questions but it's only regarding AID so that is where I will post them. Cheers to all!

Sounds as though this man is now the expert of xbox cooling
Good job fixing your box though. I still dont see how a heatsink makes noise. _________________

If the fans rubbing or the heat sink aint setting right it can make a hell of a sound.

It actually isn't the heatsink really, it was the fan on top of the heat sink. So instead of switching out the fan itself, I replaced the whole thing w/ a larger sink and larger fan and attached the wiring to the molex rather than the mb.
All is working well.
Oh BTW, my fiance and I are having a baby this weekend we are inducing on sunday, so I am going to be offline for a little while. Just thought I would give everyone a heads up. I will stiill be checking my email periodically, though. Thanks guys.
