Hi, my xbox v.1 with the latest XMBC (thc3) wont read .mp4 files.
when I play a legally obtained .mp4 file stored on the HDD with XMBC it will read audio but no video... the video freezes and all I hear is the audio...
...A friend says I need a special codec, is this true? and, where could I find this?

here is what XBMC uses http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/ i just convert it all to avi seems to work fine. Very Happy
