I just installed a new brand new aladdin chip onto a 1.0 xbox and flashed it with Xecuter 4983...it flashed and verified, when i plug in the chip to the LPC and connect the D0 to the CHIP it goes straight into the M$ dashboard, when i GROUND D0 it does this: On-Off-On-Off-FRAG. i am stumped...Please assist

Your frag is caused by chip not seating correctly in the LPC. You were correct to ground the D0...that is actually a good thing. At least it's trying to boot the chip now.

I took the pins off, and cleaned the LPC...
opened up all the holes just to be sure....
put in new pins I had as a spare (removed the 3 extra ones that Aladding comes with) soldered the pins onto the LPC soooo clean that only the factory can do better....
grounded D0 found under the motherboard, placed the chip with Xecuter 4983 onto the newly installed pins and connected the BT to the chip (only because it's requiered by the 1.6 i wanted to be safe and did it for the 1.0 too)...
Turned Xbox on, chip's LED turns on but AGAIN i get: ON-OFF-ON-OFF-FRAG.
Could it be that the when i flashed the chip with the external programmer it somehow didn't flash?
How can i MOD 3 1.6s and not even a 1.0!!!
Please help, me going crazy.

Bummer man...you are correct. Makes no sense. You would think the 1.6 would give you the issues, not the 1.0!!
I wish I had more ideas for you. I know what its like when you can't figure out a frag! Very frustrating.
Good luck, wish I could be more help. It's just so hard sometimes when I can't tinker around with the puppy myself!

Theres been a few times ive gotten a bad flash after having a successful install. And it does the same thing your describing. The fragging. The only thing I can say is swap out the chip with a good one, and try and boot up and if all is well then you just verified that your flash was bad. if the sucker still frags with a good flashed chip then its your install. Let us know how it goes and good luck with it.

it's a 1.0 do you think it might be that i need to flash it with an older BIOS?
i was thinking of flashing it with a really old BIOS; one that was out when the 1.0 was the only xbox on the market. I also need to find another pc to use to flash...after installing SP2 on my laptop it's not recognized anymore.

the install is as clean as it can be...i even tried an Xecuter 2.2 pro! same deal....i reached the conclusion that this 1.0 is not modable :-/

im having issues with a 1.0 myself. But I can boot without chip and when I Do Hold In Button, It Truns Orange Then As Soon as I Release It Goes Green Again And Boots Original Bios. I Just Removed Everything, Reinstalled Everything And Did What You Did And Cleaned Out All The Holes. Hell If This Doesnt Work Imma Try What Realccmloy Did With His 1.4-1.5 Mystery. Imma Ground The LPC and Still Make That Other Connection To C7D3 To pin 5 On the right Side. And Hell If That DOesnt Work, Then I'll Do The 1.6 Rebuild Underneath And If Still Then I'll Join You In Your Conclusion That 1.0 Arent Moddable. Hahaha Then We Can Toss Em At The Wall. At LEast On The Bright Side, We'll Have Spare Standby Fuses. Epprom, Etc. Let Me Know How It Comes. Imma Give It Another Try As Soon As I Get It Together.

It's worth a shot, but my issue was different. Mine was the chip wasn't powering up at all. No LED, no power. Until I added the extra connections, only then did the chip get recognized and power up.
Your issue is quite bizarre!

Hiya
I also had a similar problem with a 1.1, have done loads of 1.6's and no probs, tried a 1.1 and nothign but trouble, would either boot ms dash ornothing, tried another chip and the same thing happenned. I soldered and de-soldered the BT so many times that I got so tired I knocked the smd off and would not boot at all, now I had a 1.4 given to me with the same smd missing, I joined the points with solder and worked perfect, on my 1.1? Nope nothing would work and had lost the smd, in the end I soldered an led on and worked fine in msdash but still no chip mode, I hate the damn things
