Posted: Tue Jul 17, 2007 11:27 pm Post subject: Softmod gone bad after I choose reset in softmod menu
I softmodded my Xbox using AR and Splinter Cell and chose UnleashX ... that went well and I could play homebrewed games and regular bought games but today for some reason I decided when in the modded menu to select reset thinking it would just reset the console like it would if I pressed the front button but no it did something else entirely and now I have a screen that produces error 21 in the left hand corner and I guess becuz of this error it will not play anything. Now in this install I did backup files as was asked 'CREATE MS BACKUP' .. create MOD Backup ... not sure if that is enough to resurrect this console but please if anyone can help I am a total newb here and this is a heck of alot different for me than building pcs and emulating on them. I would prefer some live help if possible so uhmmm give me a mirc channel to go into or something .. but if u can't ... post here :O)

Yes the Splinter Cell save file on my Xbox but as for booting games well I am not always sure of what the term boot means ..... I know when I put any game in the tray it will not work ... I saw that all the neccessary files to create the mod are in the saved games folder if that helps at all ....

really ??? uhmm as for having a chip put in well that would be out of the question and when you talk hotswapping I have seen videos and some instruction on it uhmmm what exactly do I need in order to do that ??? what files, software etc ???
... well just to end this thread I was able to return the Xbox to its original state from the backup on the xbox HDD but before that had tried to reinstall the emulator and such and it would not work so problem partially solved for now and retry on modding it in a matter of hrs ...
