softmod install with latest AID and SID5.1 and installed unleash saved the eeprom to drive E. aswell as msdashboard
everything went ok rebooted was fine unleash working ok, I read that you could install latest dash from aids disk then foolish me decided to install msdash 5960 from aids disc after reboot I am unable to get access to drive other than msdash also noticed when I go to live it comes up with you need service or something to that effect with 21 at begining I figure this is a error code
How do I go about correcting the problem

can u boot the machine with an original copy of the game u used to do the softmod ? (splinter cell, mechassault, 007AUF )
run the game, go into game saves, run linux, see if the SID menu is there.
post back if this isnt much help _________________

It should work if you still have the game save on there. After that get a copy of the MS dash off the internet then ftp the files over to the C:\ drive. You can ftp in the installer menu so it will work. _________________

Once you get it back up and running, it would be a good idea to ftp your eeprom to your pc. _________________

Yes I can still boot to msdash
checked memory on hard disk , sids there and splintercell,xbox?,unleash
so I boot and place original cd Splintercel go start,linux and checkpoints
But it just recyclesback to splintercell to play game!
Cannot get in to unleash
The only think that is different is xboxlive if you go there the error comes up
Any clues????

ran splintercell game it goes to start then linux then checkpoints no saves in there!!!!
yet I check hard disk memory it has sids/splintercell/xbox(unknow)/unleash
But cannot play the game as it recycles back to start
what happens if I delete all in memory Blocks except xbox(unknown) I am thinking this is the original msdash
I can play other original games
more info about unit dont think it matters!!
I have done a couple of soft mods mine and a friend these had never been on live xbox but this one has when I click on live it lite up with the live xbox message no input cable or isp as the unit is my cousins and he doe'snt use live anymore so I did not think this would matter SO I Softmod as I had done with the other 2
as I said earlier the only different thing I did was update the dash from Aids disk to 5960
booted and now it is back to standard but cannot read non originals and xbox live gives an error 21!

YES That is what I thought I did not think you could ftp unless you had unleash or evox On
I am going to see if I can access FTP
No glory here cannot access the network settings error 21 probably reason xbox live error

I wrote over the soft mod dash and stuffed it
my I thought it would just update the dash but it stuffed the network or would this be because xbox live was used on the unit should I have done a dual boot mod I just did the single as he dont use xblive anymore\

The first time i tryed to softmod i did that too you can get it back without a chip..... We all have our moment's mate

i am trying to access the MS DASH i have tried putting a new copy of the dash on but it doesn't seem to work... All I want to do is change the setting that sets the multiplayer to top and bottom split instead of right and left. Sorry it so long to reply i have been rather busy at work lately.
