I am having probs with new hdd in a modded xbox ;
I bought an xbox modded with executor 2 but no dashboard , i have downloaded and burnt an iso image of aid 4 which boots fine when connected to the original hd , but when i replace it for the new 320 gb seagate hd and try to load the disc , i just keep getting a green screen with an error message .!! I hope i am right thinking you should just be able to drop in the new drive , then aid 4 and it should just boot up . I have managed to get xbmc loaded as a dashboard on the original hd . Any help would be great , Thanks .

Before you do that make sure the jumper for the drive is set to master and that AID is in the Xbox when you turn it on after connecting the hdd.

THANKS , WORKS FINE NOW , BUT DOESN'T FORMAT ALL THE DRIVE , JUST 130 GB ; I AM OFF TO LOOK IN TO FLASHING THE BIOS RIGHT NOW TO CORRECT THIS .

SORRY , WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ENABLING G ; I HAVE USED AID TOOLS TO FIND OUT THAT MY CHIP IS FLASHED WITH BIOS 4977 WHICH I THINK IS NO GOOD FOR DRIVES > 127 GB ; I AM TRYING TO WORK OUT HOW TO FLASH THE X2 CHIP WITH A NEWER BIOS THEN RUN AID 4 AGAIN , BUT THINGS ARE GOING SLOWLY ! A REAL NEWBIE !! THANKS

Well lets see, i have a X2_5035 bios on mine and it just formatted the F:\ drive up to 297 gigs. So instead of making a G:\ drive too, it just made one huge F:\ drive. Also i used slayers installer 2.7 to format mine, might be better.
Here are the files for slayer(if you need. Also you have to download all 3 before you can extract it all the way).

AID had a menu for flashing a modchip if u can get it running, and so does the evox dashboard.....u can install evox dash as an app and use it.
Just go to tools, and the flashing option, put the bios in a folder called "C:/BIOS" without the quotes of course. _________________ Hotswap Tutorial|FTP Tutorial

THANKS GUYS , BEEN AWAY FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS ; STILL A BIT UNSURE OF EXACTLY HOW TO FLASH A NEW BIOS FOR MY X2 MODCHIP ( CHIP LPC BASED CSST 49LF020 ) BIOS 4977 AT THE MOMENT ; I HAVE BOTH SLAYERS 2.7 AND AID 4.0 ON DISKS AND AT THE MO XBOX BOOTS IN TO EVOX . WHEN I LOOK AT THE AID 4 FILES , I CAN FIND VARIOUS X2 BIOS 'S IN THERE , BUT I THINK 512.X2.5035.V16PLUS .RAR , IS THE ONE I NEED ! WHEN FILE IS OPENED UP , IT COMES UP WITH A ISO FILE WHICH I HAVE BURNED TO DISC ; I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO DO NEXT , HELP , PLEASEE , I DONT WANT TO BRICK MY NEW TOY ( LOL )
