Ok, so here's the story... put a xecuter 2.6CE modchip in my xbox along with a new 160gb HD. everything was working fine, the xbox would boot to the flashbios 3.0.1 screen and everything seemed peachy. then i tried to flash a new bios so that i could start FTP'ing a new dash and XBMC etc. When i booted the xbox back up it did the whole 3X boot and FRAG thing. Damn. However i then switched HDs back to the original 8gb xbox HD and it boots perfectly into the MS dash and is able to play burned games...
thus i believe that the new bios that i flashed is looking for the xbox dash and because the new HD doesn't have it, it FRAGs. if this is the case i need to somehow get a dash (renamed to match the xbox dash of course) onto the new HD... i just don't know how. i have access to another successfully modded xbox and have read something about AID but don't know if that will help me or not. PLEASE HELP!! i am frustrated and really want my xbox to work.. THANK YOU

ok, you need to get a copy of AID 3.10 or 4.0 doesnt really matter, then burn the .iso to a dvd-r and then pop the in with the new harddrive and setup with new dashboard. _________________ (2) XBOX v1.4:

so AID is pretty straightforward to use then? once i have the dash installed it should work or do i have to make sure i name it something specific?

ON the 2.6, you should have 2 banks. If you only flashed bank 1, then do the following:
Switch to the 2nd bank and boot up with memory protect off
Switch back to bank 1
Reflash bank 1 with correct bios.
I flashed mine via http. Or you can do it with disc.

Well i used slayer auto installer V2.7 to formatt my drive. It was easy, just keep clicking on things that say format HDD, then press format all drives at the end and your good. Then pop in a Unleashx cd and FTP everything over to your xbox. _________________

dartht33bagger, what does slayers have to do with this problem, its old and outdated, heck aid 3.10 is better and there already is a 4.0 which is brand new, also hes having a bios problem now, which doesnt require re-formatting the hdd.. and clowntrigger is right... assumming he has flashbios on bank 2.. well see what happens with telfus _________________ (2) XBOX v1.4:

Sorry about my post guys...dunno why i was thinking about formatting HDD...Anyways i used slayers because i can't get tourrents to work on my comp so i found slayers on rapidshare. I don't use auto installer disks for dashs and such though, i put them on myself. I only use slayers for formatting, not the dashs and apps. _________________
