my brther has a v1.6 xbox when you turn it on it runs for about 5seconds and shuts down. does not show anything on the screen during this time frame. he thinks it is the power supply , i think it is the mother board.helpful advice needed. thanks.

Does he hear any sort of sizzle or anything if he moves the cord around while it is powered on? I have recently had to fix two power supplies this month where they simply fried and needed resoldered near the power connection. _________________ Xbox V1.6
