First id like to say hi and thanks for taking the time to read this
ok so a week ago i bought an xbox, not a 1.6 but i dont know which it is but it does have a thompson dvd drive and was made in 2003 in china, anyway i found out about modding it etc so i went and bought an Xecuter 2.6 CE with the solderless adapter
All went well with the install and i booted it up and came across the blue screen flash bios 3.0.3 so i downloaded AID 3.10 and tried burning it but my xbox wouldnt read it then i found out i had to flash my bios 1st, so i tried burning the 512k version of x2.5032.bin located in the bios folder. After 5 failed attempts (yes i used a large dummy file and created the image using Qwix, burned using nero at 1x speed) i decided to connect my xbox to my router and followed this guide
Everything went well and i followed it perfectly but when i booted back up the xbox just goes to the flashbios blue screen giving me the same old options so im a bit stuck
sorry if this is a really easy thing to solve i did try and search for a similar problem but to no avail
anyway thank you for your time and any help you can give me
DOH!!!! i fixed it what an idiot i feel, all i had to do was change the switch so it loaded bank 1 and voila its worked sorry to waste your time
