I'm gonna be purchasing Mechassault off Ebay in order to softmod my XBox, however, I just wanted to double check if all versions of Mechassault are known to work (ie: Platinum Hits, etc.) or were there revisions made to the game that prevent certain editions of Mechassault from working? If only certain editions work, could someone point me in the right direction of figuring out exactly what I need to get.

Nope, if you read this tutorial

it tells you that you need this Mech Assault with the Serial #: MS02301L on the inner ring of the game CD, I rented mine from the local video store...
