I recently modded my 1.6 with a SmartXX V2. When I first put it in, I forgot one of the connections. I did the pinheader install and forgot a wire that rand from the pinheader to another lead just above it. I started it up and realized the mod wasn't working and then realized what I forgot. I put the wire on and the chip worked like a charm. I barrowed a retail version of Halo from a friend, and I can't get it to play. When I FTP into my box, I can see the files on the Halo Disc. However, I am not able to copy these files over to my harddrive, the transfer just times out. I can copy files from the HDD to my computer no problem though. Does anyone have any ideas as to why the XBOX would not be reading the files on the disc? Is there maybe a resistor/capacitor/fuse on the board that could have blown that controls the DVD-ROM in some way? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You cannot FTP the gamefiles...that wont work.

You need to use an application like PxHDD Loader or DVD2Xbox, and let it rip the game to the xbox HD.

After you do that, you wont have any issues.

later bud

Problem solved, turned out to be a bad copy of Halo... Tried another game and it worked like a charm. I wasn't trying to ftp the game files to the Xbox HDD, I was trying to FTP them to my computer HDD.
