This is crazy, I have done this a number of times and never have I had so much shit getting this to work. I messed up something bad. I reformated C drive to clean some stuff out, well I had XBMC in there and was trying to clear all the junk out for the new XBMC 2.0 ver. Well I have tried 3 types and nothing. It fraggs everytime stating I am missing a .xlm file. but none of the builds have this and I won't work. I am thinking it is the xboxmediacenter.xlm but the newer builds doesn't use it. What am I missing, also I am having one hell of a time tranfering the data while I use XBMC as a dash?? _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

Ok I think I may have it but need your help before I try it. When I dl the XBMC 2.0 there is another folder named tools. So in there are 3 files one is the shortcut .xbe and the other is a shortcut.cfg. So reading alittle more I am losted but maybe not. I am thinking about remaning the shortcut to evoxdash.xbe and then pop the other short cut with F/apps/xmbc/default.xbe in the text ( But here is where I am lost...should
I rename the default.xbe file to evoxdash.xbe or leave it the same)?
The other thing is this write up states I uplaod a text file(I don't know how or what that is...could that be the shortcut.cfg file?)? And then thats it all should be fine?
6. create a text file and put the path to the XBMC default.xbe inside it (eg. E:\Apps\XBMC\default.xbe)
7. rename to whatever the dashboard was named, except use the extention ".cfg" instead of ".xbe" (eg. evoxdash.cfg)
8. Upload the renamed text file to the same place you uploaded the shortcut xbe to in step 3.
9. Reboot _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

try deleteing you whole xbmc off your xbox, then replace with 2.0, i did that no probs after reboot
Now there is where I had some iusse...I was FTP or using XBMC file manger while doing this. I have XBMC as a dash. So I put in AID3 disc and deleted everything...even the game saves in Tdata. Then I slaped them in. I am thinking its my shortcut or something. I may have to start a new dash and then FTP the XBMC to F drive and then alter the shortcuts and go from there. I just tried 3 drff ver of 2.0 and all came up missing a xlm file. _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

Question what did you do to get it setup? Like what short cuts did you use for it and what did you name it? Could you post what the names of the files were?? _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

So all you did was take the XBMC folder and slap it in C. Did you take the default.xbe out of the XBMC folder and change the name to evoxdash.xbe? Thats it? Do I edit the .xbe file with my FTP cleint to tell it where to look? or will it find the folder in C drive atuo??
Thank you greatly too for the help. I did this many times and now I lost my mind. I read somewhere that the shortcut has to be made? but the crazy thing is the default.cfg file when I open it via text format...It shows me where it should be. So I am going to try that out first and then just give up and slap it all in C drive..lol. I will post tonight how it goes _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

Wow......THANK YOU!!!!!
Really Thank you, I tried it before but I don't think I had all my stuff cleared out. I reformated the c drive and then with AID and j8994 help I installed evox and MS dash. Once I got the FTP setup I did what you said (First I tried the shortcut file again...nope I knew he was right but I had to try..Sorry j8994) slaped all the files with in the XBMC and put them in C. I then changed the name of the default.xbe to what j8994 said to a T (evoxdash.xbe) and bam she started up new and kicking with the XBMC 2.0 verison and the kickass new MC360 for it. Wow thank you again j8994 for your time and help. _________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

ok let me get this straight....
you deleted xbmc from aid file manager.....then ftp'd new one over......then took files from new E/XBMC folder (so im thinkin you left folder there for some reason) and put them in C without a xbmc folder.....and changed the default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe?
i think i have a xodash.xbe or something in C.....that doesnt matter? _________________
