hi all, i have installed shoutcast onto my xbox, got it working, but the trouble is that it seems like 80% or so of the stations just don't work, no connection etc!
Anybody know if this is because most stations don't exist anymore?, or have i got a early copy of shoutcast, its 040523 type.
Please can anyone help because of the stations that do work, i have found to be great, would be great to have them all working!!
Or maybe there is a different application out there that does the same thing as shoutcast????

Well. Make sure you have the latest version of XBMC on the xbox. Another thing to keep in mind is the internet connection, check if it receives the weather updates by going in weather and pressing refresh. If it says everything is busy, then its probably an internet problem. Also check to see if you are getting internet time updates. Settings -> appearence -> Date and time... Enable internet time. Just let us know if the internet is working first. You may also want to change your xbox to Auto DHCP. Do this by going to settings -> network -> change to Automatic (DHCP). See if it works.... _________________

thanks for replying manik, just to let you know that all is now correct, xbmx verion used is 1.1, weather works all the time, and shoutcast 500 is working as it should do, most of the programs like tthe ooba, bbc2 player, dutch streams etc, they don't seem to work.
But i do have a question, on the shoutcast 500, there is a station called digitally imported, and looking on their website, there is a lot more than one staion that is on xbmx, therefor is there anyway of getting all of them different staions up and running onto shoutcast! as i love this stuff!!
