I have been interested in a new oem xbox dash and UnleashX comes close but I can't figure out how to use the utilies to change it. I'd like for it tool look as much like the original dash a possible, but with the added features of evox. I don't even know if that is possible.
Also, I can't get BalckstormX to work. Do I HAVE to replace xboxdash.xbe on C with the BSX version. I renamed it default.xbe and put it in my F:\Apps with the other dashes that I don't use regularly. _________________ XBOX v1.1 - Philips DVD

hi mate,
i havent installed BlackSormX or UnleashX myself.. So i cant be much help there.
Just some tips:
Your bios chooses which file on the XBOX C:\ Parition to boot.
My bios looks for the evox.xbe file on the C:\ drive first and if it cant find it then it will boot xboxdash.xbe (Retail M$ Dashboard).
So rename your blackstormx default.xbe to evox.xbe and rename your EVOX DASHBOARD to evoxdash.xbe

My bios looks on F first and then C. My evox xbe is evoxdash.xbe. I don't want my dash messing with the MS dash (for Live purposes). I guess I wont be using BSX. _________________ XBOX v1.1 - Philips DVD

hey CHEEZ_PUF,
If your bios is booting F:\ Drive first then you can install BLACKSTORMX there.. Just install it in the same parition where you have your evox..
Rename the BlackStormX default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe and rename your EVOX DASHBOARD to just evox.xbe.. Any dashboard will still find the EVOX Dashboard names as evox.xbe because they auto search for xbes on startup..
That should be it.. All Dashboards and applications for xbox can run from any paritition... C:\ D:\ E:\ F:\ G:\

Yeah I get it. Thanks. I read a tutorial that said I have to change the name of the xbe in the config file. I didn't do that last time so that is something I'll have to try too.
Thanks.
***Update***
I replaced xboxdash.xbe with the BSX files, like the readme said and everything worked fine. I also tried to put it in my apps folder, but got error 21. _________________ XBOX v1.1 - Philips DVD

You have to use some type of bios tool that can tell you that. I think it is xbtool. It will display that information and let you change it, most of the time. _________________ XBOX v1.1 - Philips DVD
