Recently I totally screwed my Xbox up. first i got a error message 13, now i'm getting number 16. i'm just gonna buy a modchip to fix it. now i come to a predicament, i dont know anything about modchips or soldering!
I just need to know which one to buy for a 1.6 xbox (preferably one with a solderless adaptor.)

r u sure u cant fix # 16 ????? u tryed running a retail game loading linux re do the mod??? did u try running aid or xed???? did u try hotswaping????
seriously thr is sooo many ways of fixin ur box.. i suggest re lookin on what i mentiond above and u might end up not needing a damn chip .....

Chips allow you to mod other boxes easily too. No damn PC work.

Chips are nice to have gus and I feel they are worth their money...look at the active topics and most of the questions stating people screwed their box up involves softmodding....personally I like xenium chips and those are the only ones I have used but I suggest getting either a xenium or an xecuter...later. _________________ Xbox V1.6

I'm not aware currently of an audio/video issue however I've found most video issues are solved by invoking Enigmah Video Switcher.

remember u said to check if the video connector is damage or the pins are ripping apart... the hdd is readable i wouldnt get an error code... c'mon u dont remember???? OH,oh oh ya I remember and no I doubt that a chip can not overcome that situation since it does not control video nor audio directly.

thanx shark tooth. now i just need to find out where to buy one. oh, and gus738, i did some research and the main reason why the error code 16 is coming up is because i didn't relock the harddrive properly. and reinstalling the softmod is a no go because i deleted the splintercell save thinking i wasnt gonna have to use it anymore, my bad! again thanx Shark Tooth, and cool site to all you administrators who made this possible! _________________ Splinter Cell Exploit
