ok ... here's the stupid question... where can i get MS dashboard because i was trying to uninstall my softmod and then BAMM my dashboard and my backup of ms dash was gone.Where can i get another copy of it so i can ftp to my xbox and put it in the C/ drive? People tell me the MS dashboard is in this auto installer is this true?or can i get it off of xbins. ive bin there and i looked in the dashboard section but there was no MS dashboard.

This is indeed correct. You can find M$ dash on AID, as well as Nknave's Xbox Enhance Disc.
As for Xbins, I dont think its hosted there, I've never seen it. But then I've never looked that hard for it, because I use AID _________________

AID huh?... alright but does ok ... can u like burn it on a normal cd ? or do u need a dvd writer? and is there like a way to download it and just ftp it to ur xbox? that would be much easier....

You can burn it to a CD (I recommend CD+RW at slowest speed, if you don't have DVD burner).
Or you could use C-XboxTool on your PC to extract files from the AID .iso file, then FTP MS dash files to your xbox.
What exactly is your xbox doing? Can you get to any dashboards (evox, MS etc?), Does it boot games (original/burned)?
If not, theres no way to FTP, you may have to hotswap

well i have evox dash at the moment... i can still ftp if i want... and im able to read burnde cd's....i just need the MS dash back now because i deleted it and i diden't back it up

Ok, D/L C-XboxTool here. Extract the Zip file to anywhere, and run cxboxtool. Select ISO Extraction from the bar on the left, then click the add button. Select the AID 2.11 Final.iso, and then specify an output directory, then click ok.
It will ask to create folder if it does not exist, select yes. Now the job should be listed as waiting. Click start down the bottom. Now, sit back and wait
When it finishes, you can got to .../Auto-Installer Deluxe v2.1 Final\Files\Dash, and extract ms-c.zip.
Once this finishes, use your preferred FTP client to FTP the files in the folder ms-c to your C:\ drive, and you should be right
The files and folders in your C drive should be as follows:
Folders:
Audio
fonts
xboxdashdata.185ead00
xodash
Files:
XboxBook.xtf
Xbox.xtf
Xboxdash.xbe

Well I knew it was there (under pirrups sig).
I was just trying to get another user for the mighty AID! because not only does it have MS Dash 5960, but many other useful apps.
I could have just sent the link to ms dash, but I thought AID would be more useful in the long run. _________________
