Since this post got wiped, I'll go ahead and repost it for MsSheesh:
Is there any tutorials or information on getting streaming video or audio to work on XBMC
Connection is through a router/Cable Internet, IP is Static.
She has a ton of .pls files for music and a bunch of streaming video files.
I can't remember the rest of the post, but I'll talk with her later and make sure he knows to repost.

Hi,
if your talking about streaming through the internet thats easy.
Just make sure your DNS settings in your EVOX.ini match the same as your INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER (ISP)..
Once you have these settings correct you can test that your xbox is accessing the internet using XBMC (latest version).. Just choose the WEATHER ICON from the main menu.. Then wait and see if the weather is displayed...
Ok. After you know your xbox is working sweet just download these pack streams ive found for you all. Its kick ass..

Hey forahobby, I am finally getting around to trying to get this configured, but I am slightly confused.
I have Comcast Cable internet. I have checked my evox.ini and I see the area for IP Address, Subnetmask, Default Gateway, DNS1, DNS2.
Now, the IP address and Subnet mask are configured, but I have no info in the Default Gateway or DNS1/DSN2
When I go and run an IP Config the only info that I get in addition to an IP and SubnetMask is the Default Gateway. I have no DNS info.
Am I not looking in the right area for this info. I checked out Comcast FAQ but couldn't find anything to help me out.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a little update.
I called Comcast and they basically told me that I have to set up anything that I want to connect to their service to "Automatically Obtain the info". Now, I have my EvoX setting to static so I am unsure if I have to mess around with that or not.
I'll do some messing around, but let me know if you have any additional tips for me.

Got it working mate!
Friggin idiot at Comcast....what an ass! All I did was input the Default Gateway and for DNS1 I just used attbi.com as Comcast was originally AT&T Cable and I remembe once seeing that as a DNS Suffix for something that I did.
Don't know if both helped or it was just one or the other, but I now have my local weather plugged in, and that means..NOW I CAN STREAM..WHOOPIE!!!!
Yet another cool feature for the baddest ass console on earth!!

Has anyone else noticed this odd occurance.
Sometimes my XBMC just refuses to get onto the internet, i.e past the gateway of our router. At first i though it was a DNS problem, but i used some direct IP`s for streaming, still didnt want to go. The problem is frustrating as sometimes it goes straight to the net and after a reboot it doesn`t, and this is when i randomly switch in on and off.
Admitidly this could be a problem with the router and NAT, but before i stick a packet sniffer on, wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
