I want to burn a home video for a bud who has an xbox onto a DVD+R and need to know if his xbox will play it.

I don't know if an unmodded machine will recognize the media or not. I have never tried. I'll give on a shot via the MS bios and see what I get.
Will let you know later when I get back home.
Unless someone else of course lets you know first.

I have a modded xbox, wont play any +R of any type, games or movies, not sure if it will be across the board fro everyone though, yours might be a little different.

I have backed up two games on DVD+R's and they have worked fine. I am using Memorex.

It depends on what dvd drive is in your xbox. I have a phillips and it plays anything I throw at it but there are two others that have been put in the xbox's from the factory a thompson and a ....well i cant remember. So any way each xbox is diff, some will play +/- and some wont _________________ halo xbox ver. 1.4

also, most drives normally prefer a certain brand..!
I have a samsung so i can just about put anything in it.. They are by far the best as they are the only XBOX DVD DRIVE to read cdrom's..

Guess what, you are spot on mate, i have a samsung drive, it still hates +R!, i wish it didnt hate them!, i have about 4 games that i would love to play but cant
