i have done my research and have evox and everything but i need to know how to boot from back-up?
but i have no eeperom back up
i have an xecuter 2.6 CE but my old hard drive is fried :'(
is their a way to boot evox with no hard drive grab my eeperom back up and reformat the two new drives?

Hi Lonefighter.
Really you dont need a eeprom or your xbox hdd locked unless you want to use XBOX LIVE.. The xbox will still work just fine without the correct eeprom and unlock hdd as long as you have a modchip..
So, If you want to use XBOX LIVE with this xbox i would suggest purchasing a new/unused eeprom from someone then flash the new eeprom onto this xbox.. You can then lock the hdd correct and access LIVE.
