Hey, ive got an aladdin live chip and installed it just yesterday. Had it lying around for about a year cause i forgot about it. Now everythings installed. All L1 Do DT all them are soldered, no problems there but when i try to load it up it just loads up normally. However long i hold the power button for it just loads up normally. So i cant turn the chip on or off, cant set it to flash or anything. Need some help, do i need to reflash it? If so how do i flash with say the EvoX M8 bios. I have version 1.1. Cheers

Yes, more then likely you will need to flash the latest M8 bios onto the aladdin using your programmer.. If its that old it would have a really old bios on it.
Also, make sure you know what xbox version you are using.. If you are have a xbox v1.6 then make sure you use the EVOX M8_16 bios.. If you have a xbox v1.0 - v1.5 then use the other EVOX M8 bios..
apart from that the chip may be faulty but i couldnt see why..
Give it a go and let us know how it turns out..
btw.. Sorry i missed your topic amongst the many others.
sounds like a bad connectin somewhere
if you ground bt on chip
and ground do on board
chip will be always on
if it then frags it will be either bad connection
no bios on chip
or bad chip
if chip is a year old may have m7 or m8 on it
will be ok on a v1.1
but i would flash it to a known bios

I was just a reseller of that chip so nothing to do with me!!
But I was modding with them too and from time to time there was faulty chips among them...
I got so fed up with it I took my chip knowledge and got them to make the ALaddin Extreme for me... That's why my chip has Aladdin Name, the official makers made it OEM for me.
ANyway I can return their chips to them, so if you still ahve it and it doesn't work send it to me and I'll send you an Aladdin Extreme for it, I guarantee you will have no issues with this chip ;-]
