One way is to create an ISO, burn it to DVD Disk and then play it on your xbox..

that is if your xbox has a modchip.

I am assuming you downloaded from a website, bit torrent, or other type of filesharing program, correct?

Usually, when I download games I try to download ones that are already an .ISO file. Then I can burn it in just a few minutes and play.

I haven't tried ripping any of them to the HD of my xbox yet, but I would imagine it would work.

The only other way would be to FTP over to your xbox. I am not quite sure how that works, but it's probably possible. I am sure some others will ring in and tell you what they do.

I hope someone can supply some info, cuz I'd like to know as well. From what I understand, the two most popular programs (Dvd2Xbox and Pxxloader) patch the games allowing them to work via the HD.

So, if someone has ripped the game using one of those programs, arranges it for download I would assume you could just FTP the game over and be able to play it.

If the game is already an .ISO file, then other steps will have to be taken as FTPing an .ISO file isn't gonna do squat for us.

I'll look around for some info/tutorials and see what I can dig us up.

Before I go any farther though, your xbox is chipped right?

Normally when you download a XBOX game from the internet it will come in .RAR or .ZIP formats(compressed). You will first need to unzip/unrar the files onto your PC HDD. If you dont have WINRAR go here:
http://www.winrar.com

Once you have the file/s unzipped to your PC HDD you should have a
FILENAME.ISO.. Smile

Download a XISO Extracting program. Im using SIMPLE XISO at the moment.. Im sure its in our downloads section.

Open SIMPLE XISO and choose 'EXTRACT ISO'..
Select the FILENAME.ISO which you just uncompressed (rar/zip) and choose the DESTINATION directory on your computer.
e.g. c:\XBOX\SHREK\

Now once its finished extracting you can view all the files that are on the XBOX DVD GAME Smile You can ftp these files directly to the xbox hdd ready to play..

YOU CANNOT FTP A .ISO file to your XBOX.. YOU MUST BURN A .ISO FILE TO CDRW/DVD-R..

hi area,

Sign up as a member first anyway.. Your using the site so why not register for free..

ok.. I have just added SimpleXISO to the normal DOWNLOADS section..
There are already many different XISO tools to use and they all do the same thing..

heres a direct link to the SimpleXISO download:
(you must be a registered user to download)

I mean exactly what i say..

Once you use SimpleXISO to extract the .ISO to your PC it is NO LONGER A .ISO FILE.. A ISO FILE MEANS ITS READY TO BE BURNT TO CDRW/DVD using your favourite burner software.

ok..

Once you have used SIMPLEXISO to extract whats inside the .ISO files you will have something like this:

Say the game was shrek.iso
Now once you have extracted the shrek.iso you will have something like this:

THIS IS JUST A EXAMPLE..

ON YOUR PC:
c:\XBOX\Shrek\ (Directory)
c:\XBOX\Shrek\Default.xbe (XBOX MAIN BOOT FILE)
c:\XBOX\Shrek\Media\
c:\XBOX\Shrek\Media\intro.bik (startup movie)

Now you have to learn how to FTP into your XBOX..
You can learn how to ftp here.. Read the tutorials:
http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials.html

All you have to do is COPY from your PC c:\XBOX\Shrek\ (The WHOLE DIRECTORY) to your XBOX.

I would put the game into:
e:\GAMES\SHREK
or
f:\GAMES\SHREK (if you have a upgraded HDD in your XBOX)

Reboot your XBOX and evox will automatically pickup the newly installed game and add it to the GAMES MENU..
