Can someone tell me if my version of mechassault can have the softmod exploit? It is the one that came with the xbox live bundle. The serial number MS02308L-MS-L0. Thanks.

Sorry couldn't tell you specifically, there is some information about this somwhere I'm guessing but I'm not sure where..

The only way that a copy of Mechassault wouldn't work would be if it was released under the platinum label. Just in case your not aware, the platinum label is what they re-release massively popular titles under at a discounted price. If you got it free from MS, it might very well be one of those. My answer is, simply go to your local video shop that rents games and see if you can rent an original copy of Mechassault OR 007 agent under fire or then again, you could try splinter cell also, the first one, not the second or 3rd one. Coincidentally, i find that the smaller local shops tend to be better for getting the older original games. You have a better chane there than at the likes of Blockbuster.

Anyway, hope that helps you out a little

OK, thanks for the replies and the advice. Hopefully I get to find the older versoin of any of those games in order to softmod my friends xbox. Thanks again.
